BMHRC Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

The educational qualification and experience requirements vary according to the post. The crucial date for determining age, educational qualification and experience is 16 October 2026.

Group B Eligibility

• Engineer-Civil: Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Tutor, Nursing College: M.Sc. Nursing or B.Sc. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with one year experience in a recognized Nursing College, along with registration as a Nurse with the Indian Nursing Council or State Nursing Council.
• Nursing Officer: B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. (Honours) Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with the prescribed nursing registration; alternatively, Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery with the prescribed hospital experience as specified in the notification.
• Medical Record Officer: Bachelor’s degree plus Diploma in Medical Record Technology and two years' experience in medical record keeping in a hospital.
• Assistant Accounts Officer: Degree from a recognized university/institute and two years' experience in cash, accounts and budget work in the specified organizations.
• Warden: Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management/Home Science with one year relevant hostel management/supervision experience, or Diploma in Hotel Management/Catering with three years relevant experience.
• Perfusionist Grade-II: Degree in Perfusion Technology with two years' experience or Diploma in Perfusion Technology with three years' relevant experience.
• Dietician: Relevant Master’s degree in Food/Nutrition/Dietetics disciplines, or the prescribed B.Sc. plus PG Diploma and practical experience route.
• Psychiatry Technician: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with two years' experience as Psychiatry Technician in a 100-bedded hospital in the specified organizations.
• Medical Social Worker: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work/Sociology or degree in any discipline with one-year Diploma in Social Work, plus two years' relevant experience.
• Assistant Administrative Officer: Degree and two years' experience in administration/accounts/establishment work in the specified organizations.

Most Group B posts carry an upper age limit of 30 years, subject to applicable relaxations.

Group C Eligibility

• Technician – Non-Medical: Bachelor’s degree in Science with one year working experience in a medical institution, or Class 12 Science with prescribed diploma and relevant experience.
• Technician – Medical: Qualifications vary by specialization including Anaesthesia, Blood Transfusion, GI Surgery, Ophthalmology, CSSD, Manifold, Pulmonary Medicine, Radiographer and Pathology.
• Pharmacist: Class 12 Science, two-year Diploma in Pharmacy and registration with the State Pharmacy Council.
• Store In-charge: Degree in Pharmacy or Diploma in Pharmacy with five years' experience as a medical-store storekeeper. Computer proficiency is also prescribed.
• Store Keeper: 10+2 with Science subjects and Diploma in Pharmacy with two years' experience as Store Keeper in medical stores.
• Personal Assistant: Class 12 pass with the prescribed shorthand/typing skill test requirements.
• Attendant – Medical: Class 12 pass in Science stream.
• Incinerator Operator: Class 10 pass with ITI certificate course or equivalent certificate from a recognized institute.

The prescribed upper age limit for Group C posts is generally 27 years, subject to applicable age relaxation.

Age will be calculated as on the closing date of the online application, i.e. 16 October 2026. The date of birth recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate will be accepted for determining age.

• Group B posts: generally up to 30 years.
• Group C posts: generally up to 27 years.
• SC/ST: 5 years.
• OBC: 3 years.
• PwBD: 10 years.
• PwBD + OBC: 13 years.
• PwBD + SC/ST: 15 years.
• Other relaxations for Central Government Civilian Employees, Ex-Servicemen and eligible categories are applicable as specified in the notification.

SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against unreserved vacancies are not entitled to age relaxation for that unreserved vacancy.

The selection process consists primarily of a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by document verification wherever applicable. There is no interview for these Group B and Group C non-gazetted posts.

Personal Assistant Skill Test

For the Personal Assistant post, the notification prescribes a skill test with:

• Dictation: 10 minutes at 80 words per minute.
• Transcription: 50 minutes in English and 65 minutes in Hindi on computers.
• The relevant certificate is required to be furnished.
